Avanade is looking for a driven Cloud Security Architect. This is predominantly a delivery-focused role with the opportunity to support on pre-sales activities. About the Role:
In a client-facing role, you will be engaged on some of the most exciting, complex, and leading-edge projects. You will play an active role in transforming our client’s cybersecurity solutions and operations through the design and implementation of Microsoft technologies, with a focus on the Microsoft Azure and 365
As a member of Avanade’s security practice, you will be in a unique position to work for both Avanade and Accenture clients, ranging in size from medium to large global enterprise clients. As a Security Architect you are responsible for leading the development of information security architecture and ensuring technology initiatives are implemented within the framework to make our client’s cloud environments more secure. You are securing enterprise information by identifying network and application security requirements, planning, implementing and testing security controls and procedures. You will be customer facing and will play an active role in transforming our client’s Security through designing and implementing Security technologies on-premises and in the cloud.
Day-to-day, you will:
- Work closely with enterprise architects to identify and mitigate risks, perform security reviews, design top tier security practices, and deliver strategic, innovative cloud-based security offerings.
- Propose, design, plan and execute strategic and tactical operational security objectives.
- Perform deep analysis and develop metrics that measure current risk
- Develop proposal, respond to RPF and present solutions
- Identify appropriate technology/data sources and drive the collection of data necessary to effectively evaluate threats.
- Communicate threat intelligence and vulnerability management options
- Analysing threats and current security controls to identify gaps in current defensive posture
Key Role Skill & Capability Requirements:
You should have a strong foundation across Microsoft technology stack and Azure security offerings. You effectively communicate security and risk-related concepts to key stakeholders and have a good understanding of industry trends for cybersecurity, risk & threat intelligence, and governance. Your experience includes (but is not limited to) the following:
- Enterprise Mobility and Security Suite (EM+S), Advanced Threat Protection (ATP), Azure Information Protection (AIP) and Intune
- Cloud and Infrastructure Security, Network Security (not limited to Azure Networking)
- Azure Key Vault, Azure Defender, Azure Sentinel, Log Analytics
- Security frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001, NIST 800-53, OWASP, ISM
- Knowledge of host hardening, auditing, logging and monitoring, network security, SEIM deployments, security analytics, anomaly detections, PKI
Ideally, you would have had experience working on the Microsoft platform, however we can provide focused training to the right candidates who can demonstrate their passion, experience and thought leadership in this space. To hit the ground running, your skills may include:
- Exposure to proven experience in the design and implementation of Cloud Security Architecture Design and Defining Controls for Cloud Security
- Proven understanding of ISM Compliance, Essential Eight
- Understanding to proven experience of Microsoft Defender, Azure Security Posture AND Azure Sentinel SIEM.
- Understanding to proven experience designing Cyber Ark Privilege Access Management & implementing role-based Access controls
- Understanding to proven experience and understanding of vulnerability management using tools like Qualys, GFI etc.
- Understanding of and proven experience infrastructure components like Firewalls (Palo Alto, Checkpoint, etc), ExpressRoute, virtual networking, route tables etc.
- Understanding of and proven experience with Infra / Security as a Code using Azure DevOps /Terraform/Bicep/SOAR Playbooks, Workbooks and ARM templates.
Additionally, candidates should demonstrate knowledge, experience, and ideally hold certifications in the following areas:
- CISSP
- CompTIA Security+
- Microsoft Security Certification Series – SC-300, or MS-500/ AZ-500
