Job Description

As the Security Business group lead/Country Security Practice lead, you will lead the Technology practice and business in Belgium related to Cybersecurity. This role is responsible for leads Avanade’s Technology Business Group (BG) for Belgium and is responsible for the strategic direction of the technology propositions, offerings, and capabilities in the region and ensuring immediate business and operational capability needs are met in support of growing the business and taking the best of Avanade to our clients.(S)he will also drive growth of the practice, manage deployment of the practitioners, creating/evolving practice assets and solutions (offerings), and activate talent.

The Security practice offer innovative consulting services and projects to our clients to improve their resilience against cyber threats. As an established security leader, you will support the sales team in driving new business initiatives and innovations to increase our position within the Belgian market in close collaboration within Gallia (Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands and France).
You not only understand security and risk management, and the impact it has on business, you’re able to devise solutions to enable compliance and appropriate risk mitigation for clients. This all based around the Microsoft security solutions and (cloud) platforms.

As the business group lead you will be accountable for driving the region Tech BG go-to-market, providing thought leadership, achieving sales and revenue targets, building culture within the BG.
As the practice lead you will also take the accountability over the Security practice team, ensuring the regional practice has the right capabilities, skillsets, and certifications required to deliver client work both today and tomorrow.

(S)he collaborates closely with other leaders in the region, our partners and other internal partners. This role reports to the Region General Manager and secondarily to the Technology Area BG Lead

  • Set strategic direction to establish near-term and long-term goals for security across the region
  • Work together with internal stakeholders (HR, Marketing, sales, etc) to increase the visibility of the practice and increase the sales pipeline to support our growth ambitions.
  • Build strong relationships with Microsoft, Accenture, and Avanade leaders to drive growth of the practice and business groups
  • Interact with and provide guidance to existing and potential clients, as well as sales team members, to alleviate issues relating to security and risk management, including upselling other opportunities to include security
  • Find Security trends and open demands at our clients
  • Attract, Develop, and Retain Practice Talent 

What you will bring


  • You speak the ‘security language’ and are able to convince C-levels of its importance.
  • Be a leader of the practice that takes up the responsibility and leads by example.
  • You are building bridges between the different stakeholders.
  • High level knowledge of the Microsoft Security solutions.
  • Have a good understand of the security principles and how these can be applied in an enterprise environment.
  • The following skills in the following are a plus:
    • Experience in security and/or risk methodologies or frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO, ..)
    • Hold a security certification  (CISSP, CISM, Comptia Security+, etc)
    • Hold a technical security certificates (Microsoft MS500, SCXXX, Cisco, etc)
    • Technical experience in MS Azure, Office 365, Defender for O365, Defender for endpoint, defender for cloud, Defender for cloud apps, Sentinel, etc
