Job Description
As an Azure Architect, you will lead teams to plan, analyse, design, build, test and deploy enterprise Microsoft technology infrastructures in the Azure Public Cloud. You will apply functional knowledge and technical expertise in the designing of systems to support customer needs and you will contribute to our vast repository of intellectual property. Additionally, you will coach, train, and mentor team members and customers. And, you will occasionally be involved in the selling of Avanade solutions, proposal development, change requirements, some marketing/PR initiatives, and developing customer relationships and analysing the customer's business.
Day-to-day, your responsibilities include planning and design of the desired relationships and operating models across our client’s software, hardware, networks, people and operations, to effectively operate in a Cloud oriented environment. Additionally, you apply your expertise in technical and consulting knowledge to advise clients on proper governance to ensure stability, and to enable them to evolve their environments to support changing business requirements.
You are involved with the following:
· Responsible for strengthening our cloud platforms in specific but also within IT infrastructure technologies, ecosystems, and governance.
· Azure infrastructure enterprise level projects that design and deploy cloud environments for hosting business application services.
· Designing, testing, and implementing application services migrations in both a manual and automated manner
· Working closely with client operational resources in updating their on-premise practices to include cloud.
· Working closely with application, network, and security teams to ensure requirements are reflected appropriately in the Azure design
· Tracking of downstream system plan & cost to integrate;
· Ensuring the integration solution is meeting the business requirements;
· Align with the integration workstream lead on the integration solution;
· Liaison with global team (Needs to use English as a work language);
· Manage of risk and progress in the integration workstream, has that updated to the PMO team;
About you
You are a solid technologist with strong business skills. You are as comfortable working with a technical team as with client business users, and you know how to build bridges between the two. With your excellent communications skills, you are adept at mapping business needs to technology solutions and helping non-technical audiences understand the benefits of these solutions.
Your skillset likely includes:
· Cloud transformation and migration solutions, infrastructure solutions, cloud technologies, networking, data canter operations, platform migration.
· Infrastructure migration or data center migration.
· Strong understanding of features and capabilities of the Microsoft Cloud Platform (Security, Firewalls, Redis Cache, Key Vault, Service Bus, ASR, Networking, OMS, Blob Storage, Resource Groups, NSG, Application Insights, SQL Server, Sql DB, Load-Balancers)
· Designing Solutions in Microsoft Azure as per project specifications and needs
· Configure and manage customer Azure cloud environment.
· Ability to analyse systems and identify problems migrating to Azure cloud.
· Work with clients to ensure smooth and successful implementation, delivery, and deployment of complex solutions.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
· 5+ years of prior related work experience, preferably in a technology or consulting environment
· Consulting focused on infrastructure modernization and migration to Azure (IaaS/ iPaas)
· Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to completion effectively
· Monitor, mentor, and lead teams to overcome roadblocks and challenges and implement coordination
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Demonstrated excellence in communicating and presenting complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in written form
