Azure Data Architect

With an always increasing demand for Data and AI solutions, the Data & AI architect plays a key role within Avanade. 

As our Azure Data Architect, you will be part of our Data & Analytics Talent Community and you will work with our customers to identify, document and translate their business strategy and requirements into solutions and services that enable them to achieve their business goals using Data, Analytics and (Generative) AI. 

In this role, you will be an expert in choosing the appropriate architecture and delivery approach while balancing costs, capacities and risks in order to achieve an optimal solution. You are not afraid to take on project management responsibilities and lead teams of motivated and skilled consultants in delivering architectures based on Microsoft Azure solutions. 

Join us if you have a passion for data and: 

• You have proven experience in choosing the right architecture to optimally help our customers to gain insight into their data 
• You can communicate your passion and knowledge about the entire analytics domain in a non-technical way 
• you have good functional knowledge on Master Data Management, Data Modeling, Data Governance, Generative AI, Digital Twins and Data Engineering. 
• You know the functionalities and differentiators of key Azure data products like; Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Synapse Analytics, Purview and Azure DevOps
• You have at least 6 years of relevant work experience
• You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or another relevant field

And last but not least: you ideally have an Azure Solutions Architect Expert certificate or you bring a strong experience in (large) BI / Analytics project implementations

Day-to-day you will: 

• Be responsible for capturing business and technical requirements to designing comprehensive data solutions
• Define, design and align architecture roadmaps and blueprints for/with our customer, ensuring best practices, standards, and operational governance 
• Be strongly involved in preparing project staffing and engage with our offshore delivery centers where and when needed 
• Lead engagements, manage customer expectations, guide contract changes and handle issues and risks 
• Support in; pre-sales activities, recruitment interviews, mentoring and internal training programs 
• Keep yourself up-to-speed with new technologies and be an active member within the local, regional and global Avanade communities
