Security Offering Lead

About the role

The Security Offering Lead is responsible for cultivating new Security focused opportunities with our clients, developing, and enhancing relationships with strategic partners, and leading the Solutioning and Delivery team of Security professionals for the Canadian Region.  The role of the Regional Security Lead is to be customer facing and to play an active role in transforming our client’s Security on their Microsoft platforms through designing and implementing Microsoft Security technologies.

     

Day-to-day, you will: 

  • Create, mature, and grow our Microsoft Security Offerings at Avanade that meet the trends and issues we identify in Client’s environments
  • Create and maintain a regular cadence with Microsoft and Accenture Security practices to ensure strong ties with both organizations from sales and delivery perspectives.
  • Closely work with the Avanade Sales, Microsoft Sales and Accenture Account teams on individual opportunities to shape our Security strategy and price to win
  • Support the delivery of our Security initiatives with strong governance and oversight of the architecture identifying and mitigating risks, performance of security reviews, and will include delivery of strategic, innovative cloud-based security offerings.   
  • Engage with clients and delivery teams to execute projects from discovery, analysis, design, build, test through deployment of Microsoft security solutions

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must have strong foundation across Microsoft Azure & Security offerings and an excellent ability to communicate security and risk-related concepts to key stakeholders with varying levels of security knowledge and awareness.

Must have experience with the following:

  •  Communicating complex security concepts and solutions to CISO organizations as well as business stakeholders
  • Experience owning a security-based P&L including ownership of the business metrics
  • Market understanding of industry trends for cybersecurity, risk & threat intelligence, and governance
  • Experience implementation of cloud security models, particularly identity, network, and encryption
  • Demonstrated understanding of Microsoft security technologies and strategies
  • Program management skills and solution support for security transformation/implementation programs
  • Business case development skills for justifying & funding security programs and investment
  • Subject matter expertise & domain knowledge for key frameworks (NIST, etc.)


Experience with the following technologies including the ability to review solutions developed by the Security practice is an asset:

  • Enterprise Mobility and Security Suite (EM+S)
  • Azure Key Vault, Azure Security Center, OMS
  • Architecture and security management
  • Strong understanding of security best practices
  • Securing network and enterprise cloud applications
  • Privileged access management technologies
  • Security frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001 or NIST 800-53
  • Certifications: CISSP, CISM, Microsoft Mobility MCP Exam 98-368, or other relevant certifications (preferred)

To supplement the technical knowledge and project delivery experience, the successful candidate will come from a Consulting background with excellent customer facing skills, the ability to gather customer requirements and produce high quality written deliverables. As a consultant, you must be willing to travel to our client locations as needed. 

You likely have a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer engineering, management information systems, information technology, or a similar field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for a degree. You will maintain current Microsoft Security Certifications
