Job Description

Avanade is growing and seeking a Manager, Security Operational Support.

Your Impact:
You will help protect Avanade and our clients’ security and privacy. By decreasing risks to client data, you will be protecting both Avanade and Avanade clients from security and privacy breaches. Your contributions on this team will ultimately demonstrate Avanade’s commitment to security and privacy to our clients and partners. 

Regular Responsibilities:
As a Security Operational Support Manager in the Global Client Information Security (GCIS) group, you will:

Manage the Core Offering Risk Evaluation (CORE) Program. The CORE team partners with solution area executives and delivery leads to inject security, privacy, and regulatory compliance into their client solution offering architecture, documentation, and client service delivery communications. This highly matrixed team consists of experienced security professionals from the GCIS group and from our offering teams. 

Drive the Security Assessment Process for Client Offerings and Tools. You will review and provide continuous improvement to the security assessment process used by the GCIS team.  This will enable the team to be more efficient in completing assessments and reduce the risk of using these assets in client service delivery. 

Build and maintain key metrics for GCIS leadership.  Using PowerBI, build and maintain a security risk metrics dashboard for GCIS areas that includes client data security reviews. Effectively communicate top risk metrics in leadership meetings and with stakeholders.

Become the subject matter expert for the GCIS team Service Now presence. This is the system of record for GCIS’s client data security reviews. You will optimize the form and drive the implementation of enhancements that collect data and manage the review progress.

Lead the semi-annual update of the Secure Software Development Lifecycle policy (Secure SDLC). You will monitor and assess the effectiveness of this corporate policy. You will lead the change management process that continuously improves the Avanade Secure SDLC policy and subsequently releases it to Avanade’s employees.

Manage special projects as assigned by leadership. 

Desired Skill Set:
  • Demonstrable experience identifying, refining, and validating information security requirements.
  • Working knowledge of information security and privacy controls (e.g. the ISO 27000 family, ISO 31000, NIST).
  • 3+ years leading business/technical teams and managing complex projects.
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field from an accredited institution or equivalent experience such as 4 years military service in IT/Information Security.
  • Must have at minimum CISSP, CISM or CISA.
