Job Description

Role Overview:

The purpose of the Delivery Management Office (DMO) is to deliver effective and proactive support to engagements across the Avanade UK portfolio through a set of defined processes/application of global policies. To provide accurate and timely management information to support decision making, across the portfolio, ensuring that the finances for ALL projects within own area of control are successfully managed. This will include ensuring invoicing and financial forecasting is completed in a timely manner, ensuring invoices are paid on time and monitoring project performance against agreed budget information.

Key Role Responsibilities:

- Financial Management : Monitoring and forecasting of project costs, revenues and billings including production of invoices, forecasting, revenue recognition models, variance analysis and the tracking of project financial performance against original deal economics.

- Reporting : Tracking and analysing status of current and trend project performance data. Assisting delivery leads with the creation and maintenance of project and programme plans.

- Governance and Assurance : Adherence to corporate and customer policy. Set up and run of regular engagement/account/ portfolio governance activities.

Key Role Skill & Capability Requirements: Your technical and non-technical skills may include:
- Demonstrated ability to think and work systematically and logically
- Basic understanding of contract terms and interpretation
- Proven skills in customer expectations management
- Working knowledge of project/product management methods, tools, techniques
- Working knowledge of Microsoft platform technologies
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Project and Team Foundation Server (TFS)
- Working knowledge of Earned Value reporting
- Clear and concise oral and written communication
- Results oriented / self-directed ability to drive change in unstructured environment
- Good client interface and presentation skills
- Business acumen
- Time management skills
- Customer oriented attitude and good interpersonal skills

Preferred Education Background: You will likely possess a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business or technology-related field as best fits the position

Preferred Years of Work Experience: You will likely have 2+ years of project management experience
