About the role 

As a Business Development Manager, you are experienced solution sales professional supporting our customers on their journey to digitalize business & operations by utilizing latest solutions. You understand the capability of technology but have the ability to listen and utilize our assets to propose solutions. As business developer you are measured on generating sales and driving revenue from set of named accounts. 


Avanade’s Business Development group is responsible for generating the new business that drives our growth.  Within the sales team you are responsible of bringing in net-new business and continuously nurturing and expanding existing customer relationships by identifying new service and solution opportunities. 


You have proven sales skills on some of the following: Microsoft Azure, D365 and M365.  

Day-to-day, you will: 

Have the responsibility for sales to your named accounts 

Develop new customer opportunities, manage your sales pipeline and generate sales by closing new business.

Work with Avanade colleagues, Microsoft and Accenture to develop strong customer relationships.

Maintain proficient understanding of Avanade offerings, Microsoft and Accenture solutions and overall landscape of solutions our customer are using.

Support local marketing programs for brand development, market awareness, market positioning and demand generation.

About you 

This role calls for someone with exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills. You have the ability to grasp and articulate both big-picture vision as well as the tactical steps needed to get there. 

Your specific skills include: 

Have a solid background in consultative solution sales and gaining client confidence as a trusted advisor

Proven ability to identify and secure new business  

Ability to engender client empathy and trust  

Account planning skills  

Fluency in sales pipeline management and revenue quotas  

Ability to leverage network of inside and outside contacts to increase influence. 

You’ll have deep experience selling complex IT projects and solutions that include significant offshore delivery. 

It’s likely you’ll have more than five years of services sales. You’ll likely have a Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, sales, or marketing. An advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is a plus.
