Job Description:

The Technical Lead is an experienced and versatile leader responsible for the success of the project and the team. They should be equally capable of leading a challenging project as a technical lead or architect, mentoring junior resources, championing development best practices, or running a hackathon. The ideal candidate should strive to exemplify and promote Avanade’s culture of client service, self-empowerment, and growing others.

This role is a day-to-day problem solver and plays a meaningful role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects. As a Technical Lead you’ll have the opportunity to learn our clients’ business, their organization, systems, challenges and goals. You’ll partner directly with client(s) to define and clarify requirements, then work with your team to build accurate project and task estimates to deliver exceptional client results.


Skills and qualifications:

  • 7+ years of software industry experience, including recent technical experience (e.g. senior developer, architect or team lead), project leadership experience and a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Hands-on technical experience in (selected): C#, .Net, Azure, Angular, ReactJS, mobile development (Xamarin)
  • Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, software development best practices, client-facing consulting, and technical training and mentorship.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related education (or equivalent life experience).


Nice to have:

  • Experience with recruiting, technical interviewing and hiring decisions.
  • People and performance management experience with the ability to mentor and grow employees, proven experience dealing with difficult employees’ issues confidentially and effectively
