About the role: 

As a Senior Manager, Modern Workplace Advisory, you play an integral part in defining Avanade's point of view on the role of technology in shaping workplaces of the future that help our clients deliver great experiences to their people, deliver innovations leveraging the technology ecosystem and empower them to be agile and adaptable in responding to change continuously.

You are an experienced trusted advisor at the CIO / Senior IT Stakeholder level with a track record of building relationships and influencing senior stakeholders, shaping technology strategy and priorities for a modern workplace, and leading teams to deliver technology blueprints, roadmaps and assessments.

You also understand how to embed technology into business, people and operations conversations to help clients take a strategic view on transformation goals and technology investments.  

You directly manage work activities and time of professional staff and supervise work of large or small teams, providing guidance on achieving objectives. 


In this role, you will: 

Advise clients on shaping and executing Workplace technology strategy that drives business growth, great people experiences and continuous transformation. You will work with account teams to shape, sell and coordinate the delivery of propositions that address client challenges in the areas of workplace strategy, workplace transformation, business process optimisation and secure collaboration. You will also have the chance to: 

  • Support Modern Workplace Practice Leadership on client engagements, responsible for the project management and associated deliverables. 
  • Develop and evolve future focused workplace and organisation transformation strategies propositions and solutions. 
  • Support the identification, development, selling and implementation of workplace experience propositions in response to market demand and digital trends. 
  • Assist senior team members with sales efforts including development of client proposals and pitch mechanics. Delivering sales presentations to clients and responding to RFPs. 
  • Work with senior stakeholders to qualify business drivers, agree the optimum approach and develop pragmatic, deliverable and sustainable solutions and roadmaps that allows client to address their business needs and leverage the best value out of their investments 



Your skills: 

  • 6+ years of consulting or advisory experience with a focus on client workplace and secure collaboration strategies. 
  • Experience selling large, integrated workplace solutions, and the associated organisational/business change as a sales leader. 
  • Experience with defining high level enterprise digital (business and technology) architectures to support transformation strategy recommendations 
  • Experience in providing outstanding insights from a range of industry experience to help guide clients on how to evolve and develop their employee propositions, changes to business processes and ways of working 
  • Workplace solution experience should cover one or more of the following: 
              • Solution and architecture blueprints 
              • Operating model and organisation design 
              • Secure collaboration systems design 
              • Solutions for network enabled co-creation and innovation 
              • Task and/or process automation and augmentation 
              • Business impacts considerations and mitigations
