Leader, Area Marketing – Growth Markets

As the Growth Markets Area Marketing Leader, you are responsible for bringing organizational strategy to life through Marketing. Your leadership will be on full display as a member of the Growth Markets Leadership Team, where you’ll be the marketing advisor and work with executive leadership to develop effective regional strategies and priorities for Australia, Japan, Brazil, China, Singapore, and Malaysia. You own all aspects of marketing including brand positioning and awareness with multiple audiences, lead generation, campaign execution, recruitment marketing and communications. You will also be responsible for coordinating efforts with Corporate Communications and other marketing teams to ensure consistency in brand, message and impact, and contribute to client and employee experience initiatives. Additionally, you will be responsible for leading a team of dispersed marketing professionals and providing them with professional growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure marketing alignment with Avanade’s global, area and regional strategies and priorities to achieve financial goals and KPIs
Develop and implement Avanade's marketing and communications strategy and plans by partnering with business leaders and sellers as well as other marketing teams

Work with Accenture, Microsoft and strategic partners to develop and drive joint programs.

Effectively position and build awareness for Avanade with clients, prospects, industry analysts, partners and recruits plus Accenture and Microsoft

Serve as a Brand Ambassador inside and outside Avanade

Help clients and employees feel inspired, confident and cared for
Create relationship-building opportunities with clients and generate demand for Avanade solutions

Act as an inspirational leader to the Area Marketing team providing direction to the team on company-wide marketing strategy and support in the professional growth of team members.

Customize the global marketing implementation to ensure maximum penetration and relevance to the specific geographies and cultures for assigned region

Identify and prioritize marketing tactics that will have the greatest impact and ROI
Track area-level metrics, manage budget, and provide regular updates to the business and marketing leadership

As an important member of the Marketing Leadership Team, you will:

  • Provide input to the company’s marketing strategy and priorities
  • Apply market research knowledge of industry trends and competitors
  • Translate market insights into recommendations on solution positioning, messaging, value propositions and differentiation
  • Contribute to the development of marketing capabilities, tools and community

What you need to be successful:

Professional experience in a similar software or services solutions company preferred

Ability to develop, inspire and manage teams and individuals

Ability to manage change and help others adapt
Proven decision-making and analytical experience in the development and execution of marketing strategy and programs

Effective collaboration skills and ability to connect the dots

Ability to build relationships with Accenture and Microsoft marketing and leverage them for greater impact
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Experience in aligning corporate, global and regional teams
Experience in targeting, tracking, and reporting marketing ROI across initiatives and representing Marketing with executive leadership

Understanding of marketing analytics

You likely possess a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable. An advanced degree or MBA is preferred.  You likely have about 15+ years of marketing experience, preferably in IT/Services industry.
