eCommerce Lead
The Digital team work closely with Avanade’s enterprise clients to design and deploy customer centric solutions that focus on improving customer experience across pre-sales (Digital Marketing), sale and service (CRM) at every touchpoint. 

Our engagements employ leading digital experience, industry trends, customer-journey mapping, organisational assessments and other techniques to deliver high-impact recommendations. Implementing scalable technology platforms and solutions is a major part of enabling desired digital experiences.

The eCommerce lead will help our clients improve their digital presence, by helping to create eCommerce strategies, select the right eCommerce platform, and design eCommerce solutions. Ideal candidate will have proven experience of working with different eCommerce platforms, designing and delivering eCommerce solutions, experience of Adobe Magento would be a plus. 

The eCommerce lead will utilise best practices and methodologies to create insight and experience driven eCommerce solutions. You will take part in early conversations with clients to translate business requirements into technology solutions as well as leading technical design and delivery of the solution.

This is a European role. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams of digital strategists, experience designers and experience technologists. You will have experience of delivering CX initiatives utilising design led and agile methodologies, with strong understanding of marketing and eCommerce technologies, digital experience and customer engagement platforms (e.g., Adobe Marketing Cloud, Adobe Magento, Sitecore Commerce Experience and Microsoft Dynamics365 CRM,). 

Your day-to-day tasks.
  • Engage in pre-sales conversations, and lead design of eCommerce solutions.
  • work with regional technical teams to create solution blueprints and technical designs.
  • Help regions build functional and technical commerce teams to support design and delivery of eCommerce solutions.
  • Design and deliver integrated digital marketing solutions consisting of Adobe, Microsoft and other vendor solutions.
  • Interlock with the global centre of excellence to build industry specific content, best practices and point of view papers.
  • Review and approve eCommerce solution proposals to ensure they are deliverable on time and budget

What you need to succeed.
  • In-depth experience of eCommerce platforms, ideally Adobe Magento.
  • Ability to compare eCommerce platforms and provide expert view on best platform to deploy based on business requirements.
  • Solid experience customer experience and digital marketing technologies, WCM, eCommerce and CRM platforms.
  • Familiar with CRM technologies (Microsoft Dynamics365 CRM preferred) platform, and relevant processes, delivery methodologies. 
  • Proven track record of designing and delivering customer centric solutions.  
  • Expertise across the following industries: Financial Services, Retail / eCommerce, CPG, Media & Entertainment, Telecommunications, Travel & Hospitality, Healthcare, High Tech.
  • Experience in creating delivery roadmaps along with a high-level understanding of the technologies and tactics needed for execution.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills, with ability to engage, advise and inspire senior executives.
  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills including talent for conducting analysis, requirement specification, use case and data modelling, technical design, development, testing, and implementation.
  • Ability to build, lead and coordinate cross-functional / technical teams. 
  • High degree of intellectual curiosity and ability to absorb new concepts quickly.
  • High level of energy, personal drive, and positivity.
  • Travel required.
